Ready, set, CRUNCH! The halls of MLK were filled with the crisp sound of hundreds of students taking one massive, synchronized bite of fresh New York apples!
To celebrate healthy eating and support our local agriculture, MLK handed out locally grown New York apples to every single student across the entire school. After a quick countdown, the whole school took a bite together to create an unforgettable, loud and delicious moment of school spirit!
This excitement was all part of our official video submission for the annual #BigAppleCrunch contest hosted by FarmOn! The initiative brings schools and communities together to highlight the importance of fresh nutrition, sustainable farming and supporting local growers. Our students had an absolute blast showing off their enthusiasm, learning where their food comes from and coming together for a healthy cause.
A special thank-you to Mrs. LaBella for organizing this event, coordinating with FarmOn and helping our school enter the Big Apple Crunch Contest!
