ENL students recently visited the Advanced Manufacturing Lab and Proctor High School’s CTE
Center for an engaging, hands-on introduction to robotics automation and mechatronics. During
the visit, students explored how technology is used in modern manufacturing, learning the
basics of automated systems, programmable machines and the integration of mechanical and
electrical components. Through guided activities and demonstrations, students had the
opportunity to see real-world applications of mechatronics while building both technical
knowledge and confidence in a new learning environment. The experience not only supported
language development through contextual, interactive learning, but also exposed students to
potential career pathways in advanced manufacturing and engineering fields.
