Raiders entering grades 5 through 12 spent their Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer in the Proctor gym, sharpening their skills and building their confidence on the court.
The Summer Basketball Camp focused on developing both individual and team skills, introducing young Raiders to the fundamentals. Campers practiced core techniques like dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense. They took their learning further with more advanced concepts ike pass-and-go strategies and pick-and-roll execution.
Beyond drills, the campers had the chance to put their skills to the test in small-sided games and competitions, simulating real-game scenarios that helped them grow in decision-making and teamwork. Just as important, the camp fostered connection and mentorship, giving students the opportunity to meet and learn from Proctor’s high school basketball coaches while bonding with fellow campers.
By the end of the week, students walked away not only with stronger fundamentals but with a deeper understanding of the game and a renewed sense of Raider pride.
